Moderate risk chase in northern Wisconsin begins promising but ends up as a futile chase thru dense State Forests.

Supercells initiate in a SW/NE line just south of the warm front along Highyway 8 in the Ladysmith area.

This storm is showing nice supercellular features with good inflow but it is getting anvil seeded by the storm to the SW.

As this storm crosses the warm front, it produces copious amounts of hail while the next storm to the NE produces a tornado. 

We desperately try to get to the NE storm but logging roads through the state forest slow our progress.
